Visiting the website

When you open the website, the web server processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, requested page, browser identification) to deliver the page and keep the service secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

This website sets no tracking or marketing cookies and embeds no analytics or advertising services.

Purchase and payment

Payments are handled by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland). For checkout you are redirected to a page operated by Stripe, where you give your payment and billing details directly to Stripe. Stripe's privacy policy applies: stripe.com/privacy.

We receive name, e-mail address, billing address, VAT ID where applicable and the order details from Stripe and store them to perform the contract and to meet statutory retention duties (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).

We send the license keys by e-mail to the address given during checkout.

License check in the app

On activation and on every start with an internet connection, CarryCat sends the license key or license token, a non-reversible identifier derived from the device, the device name and the app version to our license server. The IP address is processed in the course of this. The data is used solely to check the license and prevent misuse (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Catalogs, photos and file names are not transmitted.

Retention

We keep order and invoice data for as long as statutory periods require (usually seven years). License data is stored for as long as the license exists.
